Cancellation of train services today

Due to the non-interlocked working at the Palakkad Junction yard to connect the new platform line with the main line, modernisation of signalling system and the extension of railway tracks of three operational lines, Palakkad Division of Railways announced cancellation and partial cancellation of train services on the Palakkad to Coimbatore section on June 3 (Friday).

A press release from the division states that four train services will be cancelled and six others will be partially cancelled on the day.

Cancellation

Train No. 66606 Palakkad Town–Coimbatore MEMU leaving Palakkad Town at 7.20 a.m., Train No. 66605 Coimbatore–Shoranur MEMU leaving Coimbatore Junction at 9.45 a.m., Train No. 66604 Shoranur–Coimbatore MEMU leaving Shoranur Junction at 2.50 p.m., and Train No. 66607 Coimbatore–Palakkad Town MEMU that will leave Coimbatore Junction at 6.10 p.m.

Partial cancellation

Train No. 56650 Kannur–Coimbatore Fast Passenger leaving Kannur at 5.45 a.m. will run only till Shoranur Junction.

Train No. 56651 Coimbatore–Kannur Fast Passenger leaving Coimbatore Junction at 2.10 p.m. will be cancelled between Coimbatore and Shoranur and will start from Shoranur Junction at 4.20 p.m.

The services of Train No. 56323 Coimbatore–Mangaluru Fast Passenger that leaves Coimbatore Junction at 7.30 a.m. will be cancelled from Coimbatore to Kozhikode. It will start from Kozhikode at 1 p.m.

Train No. 56324 Mangaluru-Coimbatore Fast Passenger leaving Mangaluru Central at 7.40 a.m. will run only till Kozhikode.

Service of Train No. 66608 Palakkad Town–Erode MEMU leaving Palakkad Town at 2.30 p.m. has been cancelled between Palakkad Town and Coimbatore. The train will start from Coimbatore Junction at 4.10 p.m.

Train No. 66609 Erode–Palakkad Town MEMU leaving Erode at 7.45 a.m. will terminate at Coimbatore Junction.

All the other trains will run as per schedule.
