All type of campaign, including through SMS, should not continue after 6pm on Tuesday. Candidates or their representatives should not carry out campaign in any form.
If the candidates wanted fresh passes for vehicles on the day of polling, they must approach the election officials.
Those voters who had not received booth slips with pictures, shall get them on the day of polling at the respective booths from booth officers.
No political activity would be allowed within 200m radius of the polling booth.
Political parties, Independents should not distribute booth slips carrying party symbols.
Security strengthenedOver 1,500 personnel drawn from the Border Security Force, the Indo-Tibetan Border Police, the Andhra Pradesh Special Police, and the Tamil Nadu Special Police will be on election related security duty in The Nilgiris, said Superintendent of Police T. Senthil Kumar.
Special attention would be given to the 63 booths that come under the critical or vulnerable categories, he said. Adequate number of police would be posted at Nanjanad where a face-off between members of a community had claimed two lives recently, he added.
