Workshop today

Yes bank, the Southern India Engineering Manufacturers’ Association, COINDIA, and Foundation for MSME Cluster will conduct a workshop on November 30 on “Energy Efficiency, Occupational Health and Safety, and Adoption of Social Business Practice by MSMEs”.

Power shutdown

There will be no power supply in the following places on December 1 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. due to shutdown at Saravanampatti sub-station for maintenance works: Saravanampatti, Amman Koil, Chinnavedampatti, Ramakrishna Mills, Krishnapuram, Sivanandapuram, Vellakinar, Urumandampalayam, Gounder Mills, Subramaniapalayam, KNG Pudur, part of Maniakarampalayam, Lakshmi Nagar, Nachimuthunagar, Jayaprakash Nagar, Ganapathipudur, Udayampalayam, and Vellakinar housing unit.

Registration

Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation is registering applications for agricultural connections in K. Vadamadurai division. About 350 applications will be given to candidates from scheduled caste and scheduled tribe, the disabled, retired servicemen, and widows under a special priority scheme. The applicants will have to submit supporting documents and approvals. They can contact the K. Vadamadurai TANGEDCO office for details.

Camp held

Canara Bank organised special camps recently in eight places for workers in the unorganised sector to open savings bank account. According to a press release, as many as 483 people were identified for opening Jan Dhan accounts. Rupay cards will be distributed to them. The Department of Financial Services has asked the banks to conduct such camps.
