Bangalore blast case: One held in Coimbatore

The special team of the Karnataka Police that is camping in Coimbatore has secured Sulaiman alias ‘Tenkasi’ Sulaiman of Karumbukkadai on suspicion that he could have played a role in the Bangalore blast. The arrest comes within days of the team questioning Asgar Ali, ‘Valaiyal’ Hakkim and a few others.

Sources said that the team headed by Joint Commissioner Murugan interrogated Ali and Hakkim and based on the information, the team secured Sulaiman and is reported to have taken him to Bangalore for further interrogation.

‘Tenkasi’ Sulaiman came to the adverse notice of the police recently, when the police unearthed Molotov cocktails near Karumbukkadai when controversies surrounded the release of the Kamal Hassan starrer Viswaroopam.

Emu farm promoter held

The Economic Offences Wing Police have arrested Maniraj, 46, of Pungampalayam, Tirupur, on charges of duping investors by not paying interest and refunding the money they had deposited in his emu farm. He had been absconding for the past four months.
