World record planned to mark Thiruvalluvar Day today

S.V.G.V. Matriculation School in Karamadai is gearing up for a world record event, wherein the largest portrait of Thiruvalluvar will be created using pots on January 16 to mark Thiruvalluvar Day.

A release from the school said that as many as 1,330 students representing the 1,330 couplets in Thirukkural will stack the pots together to make the portrait.

The pot portrait has been planned to reach a height of 133 feet using 4,000 pots and each student would write a Thirukkural on three pots.

Elite World Records, Asian Records Academy in Singapore, India Records Academy in Mumbai and Tamil Book of Records in Chennai are the world record adjudicators will be present at the venue on January 16, according to the press release.
