Collector M. Karunakaran has invited applications from eligible candidates i.e., three individuals and five organisations, who had served for the welfare of the children.
In a release, Mr. Karunakaran said that the President of India will confer the awards in New Delhi on Children's Day on November 14. The awards would carry a citation and a cash reward of Rs. 1 lakh to individuals and Rs. 3 lakh to organisations.
Applicants should show evidence for their service and avail the applications from the District Social Welfare Officer at the Collectorate before June 15 and submit the same before June 20.
Mr. Karuakaran has also called for applications for the award of service to women welfare. There will be an award for one individual and one organisation who had served for the welfare of women. Applicants could furnish documentary evidence for the service and avail the application forms. Filled-in forms should be submitted before June 15.
