Another trial run of Uday Express conducted successfully

Another trial run of the double-decker train Uday Express between Coimbatore and Bengaluru was conducted successfully on Saturday.

It was carried out by the officials from the operations, engineering and electrical branches of the Salem Division. The trial run was operated via Coimbatore North, Tirupur, Erode and Salem at a speed of 80 km per hour.

An inspection report would be sent to the Southern Railway Headquarters by Salem DRM Hari Shankar Verma, based on this, a full-fledged trial will be conducted with full rakes (8 double-decker coaches), two power cars and one electric loco at a speed of 100 km per hour. The final report would be sent to the Commissioner for Railway Safety for his green signal for regular operations of the train service, official sources here said.
