At CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex on Friday morning, a group of visitors wanted to know the way to the hospitality expo; a couple at one of the stalls were finding out about the LED lighting options for their house; another visitor was looking for roofing choices.

Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner K. Vijayakarthikeyan inaugurated the exhibitions of building materials and hospitality sector products, organised by Coimbatore District Small Industries Association, here on Friday.

With as many as 234 stalls, spread over one lakh sq.ft of exhibition area, the two exhibitions have on display a variety of products for those building a new house or industry and those into large-scale cooking.

Apart from construction equipment, staircase railings, balusters, plumbing and lighting solutions, fitness equipment that can be installed at home, pumpsets, vaults, solar energy systems, automation solutions, furniture, paintings, home décor products, wooden doors, UPVC windows, and bank products are some of the products on display at the eighth edition of Build Intec.

At the third edition of Hexpo, there are serving sets for institutions, automated food processors and cleaning equipment. Participants are from Kerala, Karnataka, Chennai and Coimbatore for Hexpo, said M. Karthikeyan, chairman of the event.
