It was a rather pleasant day...But for me, overcoming my “Monday morning blues" has always been a challenge! Still, I tried to remain spirited and got ready for my college. It was 8 a.m. sharp, and my buddy was waiting for me on the road. I quickly waved to my mom and went near her.

It's a ...

Wait, whom are you all searching for? My friend? Yes, she is here, and her name is Ms.Ladybird -- it's none other than my bicycle! Well I don't care if I am weird, but I have solid reasons to call my “blue beauty” as my “best buddy.”

You guys are the so called "gym hitters"...But for me, all that isn't required, because burning my extra calories has always been easy, thanks to my bicycle...Yes, just half an hour cycling per day has worked out wonders to my body and soul!

You feel an impending heart attack when you go to the petrol bunks (thanks to the petrol rates), but all that has never been my problem! Because just six rupees per week is sufficient to keep my ladybird going...

Eco friendly

You guys have to memorise so much for your essay/speech competitions (which are mostly related to "ecology ,climate change and solutions for the same" these days). But for me, even these have been a cup of tea, because I preach what I practise! Yes, I don't pollute the environs with mopeds and scooters and the like....I am doing what I can do best. Reducing pollution. Yes, cycling is absolutely pollution free and eco-friendly!

So, doesn't my Ladybird deserve to be called “my best buddy?"
