It's 4 p.m., and a little boy and his father are already at Landmark, Citi Centre, waiting for the event, scheduled to start at 5. This tiny tot didn't want to risk it. What if a crowd arrived before him, and he couldn't meet his favourite cartoon character Dora, The Explorer. That's right, Dora was here!

And, a queue of four-footers thronged the venue, accompanied by their parents to spend an evening with the toon. Their eyes gleamed, and little hands clapped in great delight as Dora pranced in.

Channel Nick's most-loved character was dressed — as always — in a pink top and orange shorts, with her backpack in tow. And, in her usual educative style, read a story for the kids, and engaged them in activities. The little ones sang, danced, put together puzzles, and had a good time. The late comers were, of course, disappointed as they couldn't meet Dora. Precious tears were shed while parents promised to bring them back the next time Dora is in town.

What's special is, Dora celebrates her tenth birthday this year. As part of the celebrations, Nick launches the Landmark Gift Card, which can be redeemed for any Nick merchandise available at Landmark stores (including online ones) across India.
