Give your kitchen a traditional touch with contemporary tableware created by artisans from across the country. Patram, a pop-up curated by the The Crafts Council of India, brings together urlis from Kerala, khansa bell metal katoris from West Bengal, tribal terracotta ware from Meghalaya and our very own kalchattis . And there’s more than just cookware. Don’t miss the Pathamadai and Kilimangalam table runners and table mats, Bagh printed and Madhubani art mats, Sungudi, Shibori and Chikankari napkins, Papier-mâché coasters, and wooden spice boxes adorned with traditional folk art.

Patram launches on November 22 at 10 30 am, followed by a talk by historian Pradeep Chakravarthi who will highlight the use of traditional vessels in Indian cuisine.

The exhibition is on till November 30 at CCI’s Kamala Craft Shop, 12 A-C, Co-Optex grounds, 350, Pantheon Road, Egmore. From 10.30 am to 7 pm. For details, call 28191457.
