Several devotees took bath in sacred tanks adjacent to Sikh shrines across the state on Tuesday to mark the martyrdom of ninth Guru Teg Bahadur.
Notwithstanding cold conditions, the devotees had holy dips at sacred tanks of Godari Sahib, Takhtpura, Nananksar and Daroli Bhai gurudwaras in the state among others.
The devotees also paid obeisance at the gurudwaras and also attended the religious ceremonies in the Sikh shrines on the occasion.
The occasion was also marked with ‘langars’ (free kitchens) which were organised in gurudwaras, reports here said.
