Naveen Patnaik

Naveen Patnaik is the 14th and current Chief Minister of Odisha, a state in eastern India.

The founding chief of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) political party, he is also a writer and has published three books: A Second Paradise: Indian Country Life 1590-1947; A Desert Kingdom: The People of Bikaner and the Garden of Life: An introduction to the Healing Plants of India.

All his three books have been published in India, United States of America and England.

England

England is a country that is part of the United Kingdom. It shares land borders with Scotland to the north and Wales to the west.

As the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution, England was home to many significant inventors during the late 18th and early 19th centuries.

Some inventions and discoveries include: the jet engine, the first computer and the first modern computer, steam engines, including the first successful human blood transfusion after the physician Edward Jenner’s smallpox vaccine which was among the major achievements in science.

Blood transfusion

Blood transfusion is generally the process of receiving blood products into one’s circulatory system intravenously.

Transfusions are used for various medical conditions to replace lost components of the blood. Early transfusions used whole blood, but modern medical practice commonly uses only components of the blood, such as red blood cells, white blood cells, plasma, clotting factors and platelets.

Different species have been known to have different numbers of blood types. Humans, for instance, have four, while cats have three, cattle 11, dogs 12, and so on.

Cat

Cats are often valued by humans for companionship and their ability to hunt vermin and household pests whereas a domestic cat is usually furry, domesticated, and carnivorous mammal.

It is often called the housecat when kept as an indoor pet. According to a myth in many cultures, cats have multiple lives.

In many countries, they are believed to have nine lives, but in Italy, Germany, Greece and some Spanish-speaking regions they are said to have seven lives, while in Turkish and Arabic traditions the number of lives is six.
