The audio of Sri Raj Lakshmi Film’s “Ayyanar”, produced by P.L. Thenappan, was released recently. The cast includes Aadhi, Meera Nanadan and Santhanam. The film is cranked by Sethu Sriram, and directed by first-timer S.S. Rajamithran.

The film revolves around a youngster and his affection towards his mother. Thaman S. has scored five songs for the film.

In keeping with the spirit of the film, all the songs are folksy, with a strong ‘dappaankuthu’ flavour. ‘Kuthu Kuthu’, a pacy number, written by Na. Muthukumar, is sung by Aalaap Raju, Bruce Lee and Vel Murugan. In Thamarai’s pleasing lyrics, ‘Paniye Paniye’ is a good number. ‘Pachai Kili’ written by Viveka and sung by Rahul Nambiar is worth a listen. In Naveen’s and Na. Muthukumar’s lyrics, ‘Aathadi Aathadi’ makes for an enjoyable number. The album ends with the theme music.

“Aridhu Aridhu”

Music director Thaman S. has lent an urban touch to the music of J.K.Creations’ “Aridhu Aridhu”.

Harish Kalyan and Uthra play the lead in this film, produced by J. Jayakrishnan and directed by K.R. Manthivanan.

According to the director, the film stresses the point that one must save human life at any cost, as one can neither create a being nor have the right to destroy it.

Directors Shankar, Thangkar Bachaan, Vetrimaran, Lingusamy and Perarasu, and producers R.B. Choudary and Kalaipuli Thanu were present at the audio launch.

The director has also written the script and the lyrics, and makes quite an impression as a lyricist. There are six songs in the album, and ‘Oo! Lalali’ sung by Suchitra does not make an impact. ‘Kanavugal Eduvarai’ is a pleasant one sung by Benny Dayal and Thaman S. With her scintillating voice, Reeta adds magic to ‘Missing Something’. Mathivanan joins Thaman in ‘Azhaghai Sirithaiyada’, but the number is nothing to write home about.

‘Saturday Girlodu’ is another nice number by Ujjaini. ‘Un Uyirai’ sung by Karthik is enjoyable too.
