What happens when global is fused with local? It gives us ‘Glocal’, which basically aims to cater to the food needs of today’s ‘global local.’

Glocal Junction, at Jubilee Hills does precisely this. It’s more than a restaurant; it’s concept that is driven by the new-age hangout needs. Everything about it is informal; you can be loud and still enjoy a cocktail. You can be cracking a ‘desi joke’ biting onto a slice of the best thin crust vegetarian pizza or a chatpata corn on the cob which becomes tastier with a mild lemon rub.

Glocal Junction is designed with the idea of ‘coexistence of like-minded people who are global in their appearances yet local at heart.’ Well-lit naturally, the interiors and the atmosphere create an ambience tha thelps you to unwind. Or to meet deadlines with a mug of beer and snacks on the side. Whiel there, it would be a good idea to carry a set of headsets to shut out the noise.

This junction doubles, no actually triples, into a high-energy casual night spot that potentially blends the concepts of an all-day dining and a casual lounge seamlessly. Breakfast, lunch, coffee, dinner or drinks — take your pick and let the traffic on the road in front of you pass by.

Spread over two floors, and curated with three iconic material palette (Cudappah stone, Cement and Metal) Glocal Junction has minimalist-rustic feel.

As for the menu, it is an amalgamation of global cuisines with a twist of regional flavours. Ingredients, cuisines and techniques have been combined to evolve different cuisines. There are separate menus for the day and the night.

The food menu boasts of grills with dips, salad, mini buns etc. Burgers and sandwiches also feature on the menu. The ‘Coorgi murgi dry fry’, ‘Chaat pizza’, ‘Biryani risotto’ with ‘Khakra Chura’, ‘Golichina Mamsam’, ‘Peanut Sambal’ and ‘Tamarind Marinated Broccoli’, ‘Cauliflower and Baby Potatoes’, ‘Tuna Salad with Hajmola Dressing’ come highly recommended. The kebabs and mocktails are a must try here.

Desserts are innovative and will not let you down. There is ‘Masala Chai Panacotta’, ‘Firni Creme Brulee’, ‘Kalkatta Paan Cheese Cake’, ‘Beeramisu’ and other delicacies. The ‘Kalkatta Paan Cheese Cake’ and the ‘Beeramisu’ are worth the hype.

Remember this eatery is the one running on casual dining and this is also place where alcoholic drinks are served from 11 am onwards.

So how about beating the heat with a pint of chilled beer?
