Sweden comes to Chennai

It’s the season for films from all over the world. This coming week, you can watch some unique films that are being showcased at a festival of Swedish films, organised jointly by the Embassy of Sweden, New Delhi, and Indo Cine Appreciation Foundation.

Films to be screened include Anna Odell’s The Reunion and Lisa James-Larsson’s Ego. Also to be showcased is The 100-Year-Old Man who climbed out the Window and Disappeared, which revolves around Allan Karlsson setting off on an unexpected journey on his birthday. Shed No Tears , Hotell and Stockholm Stories are some of the other films that will be screened during this event.

The festival is on from August 31 to September 4 at Goethe Institute/Max Mueller Bhavan, No. 4, Rutland Gate. For details, call 28212652.
