GADGETS! GADGETS! GADGETS! Today, you have so many of them, but my favourite is my home theatre system. So much so, I update it every six months.

I had a hi-fi six-head stereo VCR in the mid-1980s when many people didn't even know such a thing existed. Later, I was among the first few to have a Laser Disc player. I also had one of the first few amplifiers which had Dolby surround sound. I would not have money to buy clothes or cars, but I would always save money for a home theatre.

DVDS & BLU-RAY DISCS From laser discs, I moved on to a DVD player much before DVDs came to India. Then when I got to read about Blu-Ray discs, I decided that whenever I made my first film, it should be released on Blu-Ray. “Heyy Baby” was the first ever Indian film to come out on Blu-Ray. With “Houseful”, I have gone two steps ahead. “Houseful” is the first DVD mastered from 4k — that is, it will have twice the resolution you see in theatres.

3D TV Now, I don't like those 50- and 60-inch TV screens; I have moved on to 3D!
