Riding a trail

Kareena Kapoor is quite happy signing deals for celeb endorsements! Just a month ago, an advertising monitoring agency named her the female endorser with the biggest volumes on TV during H1 2010. She has followed it up with another trailblazing campaign for Mahindra Rodeo. She says the first time she ever rode one was when she shot for “3 Idiots”. We're sure she will continue riding the wave, and make tonnes of money in the process too!

Not without my wife's advice

Akshay Kumar surely remembers his image before marriage. We are not talking about the Casanova one, but his unkempt look. Wife Twinkle brought in a sense of fashion in the man, and he never really leaves home without her advice, we understand.

So, for a special episode that Akki was shooting at Udaipur as part of the MasterChef India show, the wife ensured he was looking as royal as the scion of Udaipur, Arvind Mewar! An Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla pearls-and-diamonds-studded ensemble worth Rs. 17 lakh was specially called in for the occasion.

Apparently, Arvind Mewar was also in a magnanimous mood, and let in Akki and his 150-member crew and media to shoot in the palace, hitherto kept out-of-bounds.

Looking tragic

While on the one hand a lot is being said about how Salman and Katrina gave a totally professional performance over a three-day dance shoot for Farah Khan's “Tees Maar Khan” despite their media showdown, on the other, we hear that Kat dons Meena Kumari's “Pakeezah” look for the song, in a supposed tribute to the legendary tragedy queen of Bollywood.

Take a look at this young actor, and tell us from which angle she resembles Meena Kumari.
