After the success of Husbands in Goa, Saji Surendran, is back with a new movie – Angry Birds. The movie produced by Dimac Creations starts its shooting on May 25 and stars Bhavana and Anoop Menon. The duo plays a couple who elope to Mumbai. However, when they realise that love alone won’t sustain a relationship, they decide to part ways. What happens as a result is narrated in a humorous way.

“Anoop has written the story and Krishna Poojappura has scripted the screenplay and dialogue for Angry Birds. Lyrics are by Rajeev Alunkal and Vayalar Sarathchandra Varma, and music is by Bijibal. The movie, with camera work by Anil Nair, will be predominantly shot in Kochi and Mumbai,” says Saji, who directs the movie.

Anoop, says Saji, is no stranger to him. “We have worked together on several of my serials; ‘December Mist’ and ‘Megham’, for instance. Although he did a cameo role for Ivar Vivahitharayal, this is the first time he is doing a full length role in my movie. Anoop, Krishna and I will be working together after Angry Birds on a political satire.”

Saji will also be directing Fahadh Faasil in a movie.

And what about a movie with his lucky charm Jayasurya who has starred in almost all of his hit movies? “He is a bit tied up with various projects, but there will be one with him shortly.”
