Sai Kishore had worked with Y.V.S. Chowdary, Dasarath and Sreenu Vytla as assistant director. After Dhookudu , he began looking out for chances to direct. He got his chance when producer Anil Sunkara told him that he was making a movie with Allari Naresh, and narrated a concept he had been toying with — an action comedy whose story revolved around a mafia don heroine and a cowardly hero.

How they get married and what the hero goes through to come to terms with life with a don forms the story.

The title is James Bond with a tagline Nenu Kaadhu Na Pellam .

Is this similar to Naresh's earlier film Brother of Bommalli ? “This is a totally different subject.

That was a relationship between siblings where the sister is a tomboy. In James Bond , Naresh doesn't know the girl (Sakshi Chowdhary) is a don before he gets married to her; problems arise after he gets to know the truth. This is a totally different subject. Once my plot was okayed, I got my script ready in six months but had to wait as Naresh had other films to complete. The shoot began in September and finished quickly. It has been shot in India, Dubai and Spain. It is an out and out entertainer, what one should watch out for is the action episodes of the heroine," says the director.

While working on Dhookudu , he was offered a film with Gopichand for 14 Reels but it didn't materialise.

He had never been introduced to Naresh but even without meeting him, Naresh okayed the project with him.

They actually met six months later and only then Sai Kishore narrated the story. The director says the heroine Sakshi Chowdary (from Mumbai) is very apt for the character. “Sakshi was trained by Vijay Master and learnt the rope work and did the jumping scenes without fear. She is 5ft 9 inches, just as tall as Naresh.”

The director ads, “Sreedhar Seepana who has written the dialogues has given minimal lines for the heroine as her character is more inclined towards action.

The film will be released in the second or the third week of June.”

Sai Kishore signs off, “Naresh even sang one number that is anti-wife and exhorts people not to marry.

But ironically, in real life, he is getting married at end of this month.”
