Ashish Sharma is all set to feature in a new show called Rang Rasiya. The show is being aired on Colors channel at 9.30 p.m., and has been produced by Nautanki Films. Here the actor answers questions about the serial, his role and experience of working withSanaya Irani. The serial based on Shakespeare’s play promises viewers an unusual fare.
Describe your role in “Rang Rasiya”…
I play this guy called Rudra, who hails from Rajasthan, and is an army officer. He has turned out to be this guy who hates women, especially beautiful women, because of some incidents that happened in his past (during his childhood). He has no emotions, and does not even have love for himself. It’s about a passionate and aggressive love story that grows between the two.
What convinced you to take up the project?
I have always been a huge fan of Shakespeare. All the characters in “Rang Rasiya” are inspired from the Shakespearean drama, “Othello”. This is exactly what interested me to take up this role.
What kind of a response are you expecting from the audience?
The response that the promos have received is pretty good. So, I hope it only doubles when the show airs.
How was your experience working with Sanaya Irani?
Sanaya is fun to work with. She is kind of mad, and her nature is completely opposite to mine. has a completely opposite nature to mine. She would often talk, laugh and be lively all the time. I am her exact opposite, as I am the more reserved kind of guy, and I don’t talk much.
What are your upcoming projects?
When you do such a show, you don’t get time for other things. So right now it’s just Rang Rasiya for me.
