Once, they were just a routine affair which received the attendance of the cast and crew and very little activity involved in it. But these days, pre-release events of movies, including audio release, have gained huge popularity and are being held with lot of fanfare and hungama, that too in front of gatherings at spacious venues that are packed to capacity. And quite a few Telugu television channels have joined the fanfare and these days, most movie production and release related events are beamed live into the drawing rooms. If earlier, awards presentation events were sought after, given the high activity events including song and dance apart from star presence, even the audio release is live now. These shows have caught the fancy of viewers and some of the telecasts have begun to compete with regular serials and shows on air at that point of time. Sensing the reach of the small screen, the big screen teams are not shying away from using it to the hilt.

Radha Kalyanam completes 400 episodes

For viewers, channels continue to serve the staple entertainment fare in the form of serials and some of them continue to run successfully for weeks, months and years. A stiff competition has been on among leading general entertainment channels to capture this segment and no cost or effort is spared in the endeavour.

‘Radha Kalyanam’ recently completed 400 episodes on Zee Telugu and has an interesting situation in the storyline unfolding on Wednesday. The popular serial which has developed a good following plays host to marriages with two couples, who are key pillars for the story, entering into matrimony.

The channel promises it to be an interesting development that will shape the future course of the serial.
