Students of International Polytechnic for Women (IPW) organised a fashion show, “Kaleidoscope 2014”, at Talkatora Garden recently. The students showcased their creative talent with the models walking on the ramp with their collections. The theme of the show was “Love Thy Nature”

The creations of students, ranging from casual to formal executive wear and wedding attires to club wear, were showcased under 17 categories. Categories like “Birds of paradise'', “Silence has a sound”, “B-stung”, “Let a hundred flowers bloom”, “I think in Blue”, “To a Butterfly” were the centre of attraction basically for their diverse nature and fantastic craftsmanship. Amanpreet Wahi, model and Miss India finalist Sahiba Singh, Miss fresh face Divya Mishra and Wills Lifestyle India Fashion week model Shipra Malik among others were some of the models who presented the collections on the ramp.

The chief guests for the show were artist Naresh Kapuria, danseuse Sharon Lowen, Sandeep Marwah of Marwah Studios, fashion designers Varija Bajaj, Rajdeep Ranavat, Sonia Jetleey, Pawan Sachdeva, entrepreneur Shalini Vig Wadhwa, and Kumar Ashish of ICICI Bank.

While bridging the gap between the students and the market, the show provided a good platform for the students of IPW to showcase their creativity. “There is no greater inspiration than the myriad colours and exquisite beauty in the nature around us. Nature never goes out of style,” said Sanjana Kalra, executive director IPW. “The focus of the show is on good design that is an ideal blend of creativity, which matches form and function. The objective of the fashion show is to present the creations of the student and give them due exposure, helping them in their future endeavours.”
