Bengaluru’s fashionistas are in for a treat this weekend, with Swedish international retailer, H&M (Hennes & Mauritz AB) all set to open its first store in the city at 11 am on March 25.

The fast-fashion brand, known the world over for its ‘fashion and quality at the best price in a sustainable way’, will engage Bengalureans in its inimitable style on opening day. A style that had hundreds of ecstatic loyals camping overnight, outside its first flagship store opening in India last October, at Select CITYWALK, New Delhi where over 2,500 H&M fans lined up prior to the launch.

Located at VR Mall Bengaluru, near Phoenix Market City on Whitefield Main Road, the store offers the entire gamut of latest fashion trends, as well as timeless basics for women, men, teenagers and children, athletic wear and lingerie. The price of the clothes range from Rs. 399 and goes up to Rs. 14,999.

In celebration of its opening in Bengaluru, shoppers can expect great surprises — those in queue for the opening day will get to experience fun performances, foot-tapping music and H&M goodies. The first three fashionistas in the queue will be rewarded with H&M gift cards worth Rs 10,000, Rs 7,000 and Rs 5,000 respectively, while the next 500 fashionistas in queue will receive a limited edition H&M goodie bag and gift card worth Rs 1,000 each.

On the pre-launch night, interactive activities such as pass the parcel, Chinese whispers, a quiz on fashion and H&M will be conducted. A silent flash mob and beat boxing artists are the other highlights of the night. On the day of the launch, five popular bands and B-Boying by a well known dance studio are on the cards.

“We are very proud to open our first store in VR Bengaluru, which is our fourth store in India,” said Janne Einola, Country Manager for H&M Hennes & Mauritz Retail, India. “At H&M, we always have something for everyone, and we can’t wait to welcome all Bengaluru shoppers to this fantastic store”

The brand has around 260 designers with around 120 pattern-makers and 45 print designers who work on ongoing design and buying through the year to deliver the right fashion at the right time with new products arriving every day at the store. “We work at every stage to achieve the best price for garments by having no middle men in the buying process, having an efficient logistics system and being cost conscious at every stage” said Einola.
