I have drowned money enough to feed a small third world country trying to burn off the calories, in gyms and other weight loss institutions. Over the years, the obscene amounts that have been invested in these weight loss programmes, is now a standing joke among family members, and my ‘donations' to gyms amuse them endlessly.

So when I visit the Grand Slam store in Koramangla and the good man there informs me that I can have all the equipment I want within the convenience of my house, it is my turn to stand up and laugh. A 25-year-old company, Grand Slam offers their customers the options to choose from three international brands of fitness equipment, Kettler, Sports Art and Turbuster.

Grand Slam have made sure they include the middle-class, upper middle-class and niche audiences in their target. The company swears by the treadmill that not only do they give their clients quality fitness equipment, but also a fail safe after sales service.

Besides bringing fitness to your doorstep, Grand slam also caters to the commercial segment, and have loaned their services to several clubs and hotels in the city. The news of their quality and service preceded them and they have even gotten bulk orders from towns as remote as Nagercoil.

While selling fitness equipment, the good men at Grand Slam will help you choose the best option taking into consideration budget, area and your requirements. They also pride themselves on being the one-stop shop for all things fitness related and also with Malaika Arora Khan as their brand ambassador they seem quite pleased with themselves.

Visit the Grand Slam Store at 821, Kushal Arcade, 80 Feet Road, 20th Main, 8th Block, Koramangala. For details contact 41138139.
