You may love snuggling in bed with your old tee and jammies. Making it possible for you to step out of home in them is Nuteez.
Nuteez has a range of boxers, tee-shirts, tank tops, camisole tops, long tanks, capris, pants in knitted cotton. Started quietly about two years ago as an online store with about 20 designs, it’s now grown to offer 350 styles in men’s, women’s, and kidswear. They even offer plus sizes, up to XXXL.
“Loungewear as a concept is still new in India. It’s any kind of clothing you can relax in. We tend to wear old tee-shirts or nighties at home, but when someone comes home, we rush to change. Or if we step out to buy something, we wrap ourselves in a dupatta,” observes Vijayashree Parameswaran, founder of Nuteez.
Popular in the women's ranges are the floral and animal prints, and tees for men with artistic doodles or funny phrases. Printed leggings and pants for women are rather funky too. Pet lovers have a whole range of prints pug marked for them; you can proudly take your pooch for a walk wearing one of these.
“We have experience in the export market, and always felt odd that many Indians buy PJs in USA at four times the price we can offer, and come back and wear them here. So we decided why not make a range for India with the same international standards. We pick the yarn we want and start with the spinning stage with our manufacturing partner. All our clothes are ‘peach finish’, offering greater softness, which lasts longer,” she says. For kids they offer an extra snug fit with a different kind of weaving technique. Clothes are machine washable.
The children’s pajama sets come at Rs. 599, tees are priced at around Rs. 450, and bottoms at around Rs. 500. They offer free shipping for orders placed on their own website. Their range is available on other online sites like Myntra and Flipkart as well.
