The Little Theatre calls for auditions for adult actors for its new original musical to be played at The Little Festival 2013. Applicants must sing, dance and act for this production for children. Auditions will be held on April 7 from 6.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. at Cheria Aana, No. 39/46, Ram’s Square, Third Floor, No. 2, Village Road, Nungambakkam.
The musical will be on from July 11 to 13 at the Museum Theatre, Egmore, as part of the festival to be held from July 4 to 13 at the same venue.

Designer artist Nandini Sharma presents The Magic Of Colours, an exhibition of paintings and products in leather created by her. Moving away from black, brown, tan and burgundy leather, the line-up promises a fusion of colourful blocks and waves, floral and tribal art work. Choose from handbags, clutches, travel pouches, decorative boxes, executive folders, mobile pouches, photo frames and more. The embellishments used include felt, tissue, hand-woven fabrics, motifs, beads, stones, leather appliqués.
Part of the proceeds will be donated for the development of under-privileged women and children.

Dakshinachitra presents activities and workshops for adults and children. For kids aged six to 10, it conducts an activity camp on April 17. It includes traditional games, mind-mapping treasure hunt, heritage trail of Dakshinachitra, folk dance, craft demonstrations, glass painting, pottery, t-shirt-printing etc. The fee is Rs. 800. For those aged nine to 15, it holds a one-day workshop Ignite Your Potential, on April 20 and 21. The camp will focus on developing life skills and creative potential in a child through value education and theatre magic. The fee is Rs. 1,000. Impact, a leadership camp for adults will be held on April 14. The fee is Rs. 1,500. The focus will be on personal enhancement, motivation, communication, leadership and development of teams through learning games and outbound activities. A three-day Kerala mural workshop on canvas will be held on April 19, 20 and 21 from 10.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. The fee is Rs. 4,000.
