Chris Martin of Coldplay and Freida Pinto visit India with The Global Poverty Project and Global Citizen for goodwill trip on global poverty issues

Chris Martin of Coldplay and Freida Pinto are traveling in India with The Global Poverty Project, a global nonprofit organization dedicated to seeing an end to extreme poverty by 2030. During the trip, the delegation will meet with key government leaders, nonprofit partners in the water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) space, and participate in field visits to see innovative projects addressing sanitation in local communities throughout India. Chris and Freida are key supporters of the organization, and Freida has previously used her voice to show her commitment to girls and women’s education and empowerment, two key factors in ending extreme poverty.
