Indian badminton greats Prakash Padukone and Vimal Kumar inaugurated the new wooden-floored Balance Badminton Courts (BBC) at Balance – The Club and XLR8 Sports Arena in Hennur here recently.

The courts are complete with polished wooden flooring, standard dimensions and state of the art facilities. The facility will soon be open. “Through this development, we not only hope to encourage coaching and development of the youth who’re interested in badminton, but also want to provide access to anyone who wants to play,” Padukone says, “From the young guns to working mothers, the elderly or corporate tournaments — we are hoping to see everyone on these courts. Alongside the development of talent, it is important that such developments facilitate the desire of the wider audience to pursue their love for badminton.” It will conduct weekday and weekend coaching sessions on the Balance Badminton Courts in January. The weekday coaching begins on January 4. Mail enquiries@ balance-theclub.com
