At 8.30p.m. on August 14, I Am That Change, directed by Sukumar was released on YouTube as a tribute to Independence Day. The three-minute video lays stress on the fact of being responsible to enjoy or celebrate the term independence. Director Sukumar explains, “The video is aimed at the fact that we need to be responsible about our acts and deeds. Blaming each other doesn’t solve our problem, but putting an end to bad habits, can pave the way for a better future. In our short video we show certain instances where our acts decide our future. The time between deciding right and wrong is short, but once we realise and do the right act, that feeling stays on for long and can be an example to all,” says Sukumar.

The idea was initiated by ‘Bunny’, says credits Sukumar “but we weren’t able to decide how to go about it. Once we knew the idea to be adopted we decided to make it easy for all to understand. That is why there is an example of a kid littering and later deciding to clean it after him.”

With the video being released on Thursday within hours it had over 1.5 lakh hits. The film is produced by Allu Arjun who is also seen in the video along with other actors like Bharat Reddy, Tanisshq Reddy, Trisha, Vikram Chaitanya, Satish, Surya Arshith, Sri Varshini.

Besides topical events picked up to depict and initiate change in all of us, the background score also plays a lot to bring that sense of longing and a connect with the theme.
