Pepper Chicken is a spicy, easy-to-make dish that pairs well with most prime dishes. Try it with some rice, roll it up in a chappati, or savour it with some appam. You can’t go wrong with this simple dish!

Ingredients:

Chicken - 1 kg

Onions - 250 grams

Tomato - 250 grams

Haldi - 1/2 tsp

Ginger garlic paste - 50 grams

Oil - 100 grams

Pepper - 25 grams

Salt to taste

Method:

Heat the oil in a vessel and fry onions till brown. Drain excess oil.

To the onions, add ginger garlic paste and blend well.

Add pepper powder, haldi, tomato purée and a little salt. Bring to boil.

Add the chicken and blend well. Cover it with a lid till the meat is cooked.

Add water so that the chicken does not stick to the bottom of the vessel and when it is tender, remove from the fire.

Serve hot with chappatis or bread.
