Do you avoid wearing a sleeveless dress because of the way your arms look? In women, a major reason for flabby arms is hormonal changes, which could also be due to stress. Other reasons include genetics, wrong eating habits and lack of physical activity.

There is no quick way or magical remedy to get rid of the fat in the arms. The only magic that will work is exercise. When training with weights, use lighter weights and more reps. This allows one to tone the muscle and burn fat without becoming bulky. Additional aerobic workouts like upper body ergometer, ellipticals, hand circles and air/bag punches help get rid of unwanted arm fat.

When it comes to diet, go for lean foods and cut down calories from fat and carbs especially sugar. Try to reduce the intake of salty and spicy items.

The arm has two main muscles: biceps brachii and triceps brachii. Both sets need to be worked on for that toned look. The ideal arms workout should include dumbbell biceps curls, cable triceps extension, biceps curls with resistance band, triceps extension with resistance band, barbell biceps curls, and wall push-ups close grip for triceps. Choose at least two each for biceps and triceps twice a week. The reps should be around 15-20.

Apart from this, one has to exercise the chest and back. For all upper body exercises, one needs to move the arms. It is possible to isolate the arms with all upper body exercises. However, before beginning a routine, always check with an expert to ensure that you are doing what is right for you.
