The picture of the boy selling flags at traffic signals depicts a common sight on the eve of Independence Day and Republic day. These children are forced to sell flags, badges and small toys because they are poor. They can’t even manage enough food for their family. When the vehicles stop at traffic signals, they go from one vehicle to another and run the risk of being run over to sell these knick-knacks. India celebrates its independence every year, but these unfortunate kids are yet to be freed from the clutches of child labour.
