Way to Wayanad

July 15, 2013 03:38 pm | Updated 03:38 pm IST

This summer vacation, we went to Wayanad. As it was the last week of May, Wayanad had already experienced some pre-monsoon showers and the lush greenery was visible.

We went to Thirunelli Vishnu temple, Kuruva Island, Pookot Lake, Edakkal Caves and Tholpetty Wildlife Sanctuary. We also went for a jungle safari with the cooperation of the forest officials. On the way, I took lots of pictures — of a giant squirrel leaping from one tree to another, a wild buffalo which came menacingly close to our vehicle, an elephant and its calf and more.

It was truly a memorable trip.
