One day, my father and I were travelling in our car when something terrible happened. Two men were riding a motor bike and even though the signal was red, they sped past without waiting for the green light. A truck hit them and they died on the spot. I was stricken and also felt ashamed at the same time.
Those men would not have lost their lives if they had followed traffic rules. If they had been in other countries such as the U.S. and the U.K., they would have followed traffic rules. Why do they break the law in their own country and have no regard for rules and regulations?
I have come to the conclusion that it is because there is a lack of awareness. They have no fear. They think that they can get away with it and have the freedom to do anything they please. We must create awareness, but we ourselves need to follow it before advising others. Take an oath today that we shall follow traffic rules and convince others to follow it too.
