Season of joy

March 25, 2013 04:50 pm | Updated 04:50 pm IST

Finally, spring is here after a dark and foggy winter. This winter has lasted longer and has been more gloomy.

Good riddance, I’d say. I have always enjoyed the winter , but this time it was harsh.

It lasted till the end of February, and I was sneezing and coughing all through. However, with the coming of spring, I began to feel better.

The misty, chilly mornings made me sick. But with spring, a warm sunshine welcomed me and gave me hope of a successful day ahead.

I went to my garden the day before and saw the flowers, which had withered in the winter, bloom again.

Now, everybody seems to be happy and joyful and the surroundings are beautiful too.

The days are now lively with everyone engaged in some activity or the other, and the nights are peaceful — a complete contrast to the winter days which were full of inactivity and lethargy.

I am enjoying this season to the fullest, and am also studying for my exams.
