Sri Valliammal Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Thirupathiripuliyur, Cuddalore, celebrated Annual Day and Founders Day recently. Amudha Valli, Chief Educational Officer, Cuddalore district was the chief guest while the special guest was Dr. Vanaja Vaithiyanathan from Jyothi Eye Care, Puducherry. The chief guest also inaugurated the new computer lab.
Principal and Correspondent, Vairam Duraiswamy, delivered the welcome address and V. Balu, Chairman, presided over the function.
The toppers in X and XII were given prizes. R.Vignesh was awarded best outgoing student award and R.M.Kasinathan won the best performer in sport activities awards for the year 2009-10.
Annual report of 2009-10 was presented and the students presented a cultural programmes based on the theme ‘Peace'. S.Rajeshwari, Vice Principal proposed vote of thanks.
