The 28th annual day celebrations of Zion School, Pithapuram Colony, were held at Kalabharathi auditorium recently. Former MLA Golla Babu Rao, District Education Officer D. Madhusudhana Rao, Botta Neelima and president of the Parents Association Swarna Latha participated. Principal M.G. Sarojini, correspondent Golla Raja Prasad and Director G. Vijayanand were present.

Children of Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan took out a rally on bicycles from R.K. Beach to Indira Zoological Park, covering a distance of about eight km, to spread the message “save mother earth” and “stop global warming”. The school has also adopted a white tiger at the zoo for three consecutive years to spread the message of wildlife conservation.

Children of Hidden Sprouts Special School for Mentally Handicapped drove home the message of environment conservation through skits and a tiger dance on World Forest Day. School secretary K. Srinivasa Rao and social worker K. Mallayya attended.
