The pre-primary students of Sreenidhi International School participated in the Super Mini Sports Fest 2011 – 2012 recently.

The chief guest was Namratha Shirodkar Ghattamaneni.

The Executive Director and PYP Principal Saritha Katikaneni, Chairman of the school Dr. K. T. Mahhe, principal Mr. V. Srinivasan and members of senior management team were present. Circuit training, walk past, fun race and other events were presented by the students.

Sentia - The Global School at Miyapur, had its annual day recently. The chief guest was Ponnala Lakshmaiah, Minister for IT. The guest of honour was Dr. Sai Pratap Kumar, IPS, director NIFT. A cultural show was presented by the students. The programme was chaired by chairman Mr. A. Deepak. President Sardar Iqbal Singh, treasurer Mr. P. Ugandar Rao and prinicpal Mrs. A. Sunita graced the occasion.

Maharishi Vidya Mandir celebrated the 95th birth anniversary of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, also known as gyan yug diwas.

Principal, Vasanthy Parasuraman, spoke of the significance of Maharishi ji's consciousness based education, Transcendental Meditation and group meditation in a students progress.

The staff, students and parents participated in the prayer for world peace.

Meridian School, Madhapur, celebrated its annual day recently. The Pre Primary and Primary students presented “Alice in Wonderland.”The middle and high school students took up the theme 'Genesis'. Students presented dance from across the world. The Principal, Lalitha Naidu, presented the annual report. The chief guest was Mr. Ravi Kumar S, head of Development Centre, Infosys, Hyderabad.

Varsha Gandikota of Chinmaya Vidyalaya participated in an international fest conducted for the South Asian region annually. She competed with contestants from Nepal and Sri Lanka and was adjudged one of the four Wizkids. She was awarded a scholarship of Rs. 1 lakh along with the Wizkid trophy.

Gitanjali Devshala held its annual sports day recently. The highlight of the event was the formation of “Gitanjali Devshala 15” by the flag drill student. The daredevil act of the karate kids jumping through the rings of fire was appreciated. The chief guest was Police Commissioner A.K.Khan. He said sports teaches one the art of survival by imbibing in a person qualities such as patience, self confidence and competitive spirit. The function was graced by school chairman Mr. Uma Karan, director Mrs. Gita Karan, principal Mrs. Madhvi Chandra and head mistress Mrs. Lakshmi Devulapalli.

The children of Daksha had their annual sports day at the KVBR stadium. The English alphabet, numbers, the science concepts, awareness of the environment and good habits were the themes of the different races held that day.
