Real tribute

As we celebrate our 66th year of Independence, I really wonder whether we have achieved all the goals that the nation had dreamt of achieving. Poverty, illiteracy, child labour, and corruption along with other tyrants are still holding many in chains. Let the sight of hapless children toiling in the streets to satisfy the pangs of hunger not greet us anymore on the eve of our next Independence Day. Let us not confine our celebrations to just flag hoisting and speeches. Instead we can pay a fitting tribute to our legendry martyrs of freedom struggle by attaining what they had envisioned.
