Criss-cross London

April 29, 2013 03:22 pm | Updated 03:22 pm IST

The story of The Blue Cross revolves around three men — Father Brown, Valentin and Flambeau — and takes place in the streets of London.

Father Brown is a priest, Valentin, a detective and Flambeau, a thief. Valentin seeks to capture Flambeau, who is planning on stealing a precious item called the blue cross, which Father Brown is carrying with him.

The story has many twists and turns that leave us baffled, but the ending is extraordinary and unbelievable. The tale mainly follows the actions of Valentin. The characters, their dialogues and the pace make the book an absorbing and interesting read.
