Charmed by Anne Frank

May 19, 2014 06:45 pm | Updated 08:02 pm IST - Thiruvananthapuram:

My heart was stuck on a book called The Diary of a Young Girl . I got it as a present for my 12th birthday. The Jewish girl, Anne Frank, captured my heart. Though she died very young, her life continues to shine and inspire many.

Anne’s diary is named Kitty and bears all her thoughts and important moments in life. I have learnt that having a smile on our faces during difficult times is not strange. Her writing highlights the suffering her family had to go through, and it melted my heart. It’s a book which will make anyone cry.

The writer is in class VII B, Alan Feldman Public School, Kazhakuttom, Thiruvananthapuram
