MetroPlus Theatre Fest: Catch 'The Tale of Haruk' by Performance Group Tuida in Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad on August 15, August 17 & August 23

A Korean play, ‘The Tale of Haruk’ is a beautiful story of Haruk who was forbidden from eating rice. As it so happens one day Haruk decides he wants nothing but rice, and his parents give in. His hunger then grows rapidly until one day his parents offer themselves to him.

Borrowing nature-friendly ideals like recycling, this unique play aims to attract adults as well as children

About the group:

Performance Group Tuida was first created in 2001 by eight graduates of the Korean National University of Arts. It aims to create open, nature-friendly and evolving plays. Their plays are known for using creative puppets, masks and music and their Korean-yet-cosmopolitan style has earned high acclaims in Japan, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, United States and Ireland. Tuida also wants to adopt nature-friendly ways in their production.
