The Association for cleaning Hindu temples will take up their 23 cleaning process on March 11. And this time the venue will be Arulmigu Govardhanambikai Udanurai Gnanapuriswarar temple, Kanchipuram district, located six km from Chingleput. The work will be done on the second Sunday of each month. Devotees who wish to be a part of this religious process can reach the temple by bus (No. T50) from Chingleput to Thiruporur.

Legend has that this temple has been worshipped by Gautama Maharishi and Goddess Parvati, who came here as kamadhenu. There is also a belief that since this place was visited by Thirugnanasambandar this place came to be hailed as Thiruvudaisoolam.
