The SVN Music Academy, Bangalore, is conducting a two-day workshop and seminar on The Art Of Performance in Carnatic Music -- vocal and instrumental, by renowned musician T.V. Gopalakrishnan on September 23 and 24, 2016. A seminar dedicated to the memory of the doyenne of Carnatic music, M.S. Subbulakshmi will be held on September 25, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The seminar will have papers presented by speakers from different walks of life.
During these three days, there will be concerts by renowned musicians, between 5 p.m. and 9.30 p.m. Since the entire event is a tribute MS, the concerts will also focus on songs that were rendered by MS.
For the workshop, students of vocal and instrumental music, and upcoming musicians can register. Registration closes on September 15. Participants will be provided a workshop kit, lunch, tea and coffee on all the three days.
