Prithviraj again dons the khaki uniform in Shyamdhar’s 7th Day.

Forty two-year-old David Abraham is lost in thought in a mortuary. A few close-up shots of the doctor follows before the crew shifts to the reception area of the Medical College near Kakkanadu, Kochi. Prithviraj plays David, the lead character in debut director Shyamdhar’s 7th Day, the shooting of which is underway at the Medical College.

“This is a crime drama that occurs during the seven days between Christmas and New Year. David has been suspended from the Crime Branch Department of the Kerala Police and he is investigating a case by himself. His visit to the hospital is part of the investigation,” says Shyamdhar.

Prithviraj is not new to playing a cop in movies. The actor had played the role of the men in khaki in two Malayalam films and also in the Bollywood movie, Aurangzeb, last year.

In Mumbai Police, his character was that of a police officer who had lost his memory and in Memories, he plays an alcoholic cop. In 7th Day, he plays a cop who no one seems to trust.

Prithviraj is once again experimenting with his look in the film; he sports a white streak in his hair for this one.

The actor says: “My character is inconsistent in his behaviour. If he is short tempered one minute, the next minute he is okay. ”

The crew moves to a house near Vennala in the afternoon. They shoot a scene featuring a group of friends – Jessy (Janani Iyer), Shan Shahar (Vinay Forrt), Vinu Ramachandran (Anu Mohan), Aby (Tovino Thomas) and Cycle (Praveen Prem). Joy Mathew plays a character named P.T.R. Bhattathiri.

7th Day is being produced by Shibu G. Suseelan. The movie will hit theatres during Vishu. Cinematographer is Sujith Vaassudev and music director is Deepak Dev. Still photographer is Hasif Hakkeem.
