Music director A. R. Rahman is someone who seldom gets excited. But even he was moved by the phenomenal response to his programme on MTV Unplugged, particularly to his song in veteran director Mani Ratnam’s next film, Kadal .

The number, titled ‘Nenjukulle”, aired on MTV first and a link to the video posted on Twitter later, seems to have evoked quite a lot of interest and admiration among fans across the globe.

Responding to the congratulatory messages, the musician tweeted, “OMG (Oh my God)… Didn’t expect such kind remarks for our MTV unplugged2 event. Thanks so much for all your love.”
