LAUNCH: Audio release of "Drohi".

LAUNCH: Audio release of "Drohi".

The audio of “Drohi”, produced by Mano Akkineni's Indira Innovations, was released recently. The film is directed by Sudha K. Prasad, an associate of director Mani Ratnam.

The movie has Srikanth and Vishnu (of “Vennila Kabadikuzhu” fame) in the lead, along with Pooja, Poorna and Poonam Bajwa. After a long gap, yesteryear hero Thyagarajan will be seen on the big screen. The cinematography is handled by wildlife filmmaker Alphonse Roy.

Director Sudha said the film follows a single-line theme — that we have all been betrayers ( drohi ) at some point in time.

The music is by Selvaganesh. There are six numbers in the album. ‘Sama Sama Yama Yama' is a nice one sung by Silambarasan, Karthik and Maya, in Na. Muthukumar and Mano Akkineni's lyrics. The duo have also penned ‘Adi Kutti Maa', sung by Ranjith, Suchitra Karthik and Maya Sricharan. ‘Konjam Konja Vendum' is a good number sung by Ranina Reddy and Srikanth. The same lyricist has written ‘Sambhavaami Yuge Yuge', rendered well by Shankar Mahadevan. V. Elango has written the lyrics for the pleasant ‘Vaalaatum Rowdy Kootam', sung by Sowmya Rao and Maya Sricharan, and rap by kids Ashwath and Suriya. The Drohi theme song is written and sung by Bigg Nikk and Maya Sricharan, and Raam too joins them in writing.
