Coldplay will reportedly release their new “upbeat” album before the end of the year.
The four-piece band is planning to surprise their fans by releasing their seventh studio record without prior notice, which lead singer Chris Martin previously revealed would be called ‘A Head Full of Dreams’, reported Contactmusic .
“The album is almost finished and the band is keen to get it out as soon as possible,” a source said.
The album is said to be much more positive in comparison to their previous 2014 LP Ghost Stories release, which was inspired by Martin’s separation from his wife of over a decade.
“The last record was so depressing because it was about Chris’ split from Gwyneth Paltrow. But the new material is more upbeat with a pop feel. They have already finished eight tracks, which are all completely different,” the source added.
