Award for violinist

At the inauguration of the eight-day music festival, violin vidwan Nagai Muralidharan will be the recipient of the Sangeetha Sahrudhya Seva Ratna Award and a purse, to be presented by Shirdi Baba Sangeetha Sabha on December 1, 5.30 p.m., at Jaigopal Garodia Vivekananda Vidyalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School (near Anna Nagar Tower), U6, Anna Nagar.

Maharajapuram Srinivasan and Sri Narayana Viswanath, Syndicate and Senate member, Annamalai University, preside. The guests of honour are Uma and Shankar (Kalvi Trust). It will be followed by a concert by Maharajapuram Srinivasan -- the first in the music festival series that concludes on December 8.
